The Mazda3 was redesigned for 2014. Changes include the addition of a head restraint for 2C (good change) and making the buckles for 2D and 2P rigid, whereas in previous years they had been flexible (bad change – as now even a narrow booster can’t fit in 2C).
The spacing between the innermost lower anchors is 17.4 inches – see here for more about this type of “center LATCH.”
The Mazda3 was slightly changed for 2010. The head restraints for 2D & 2P were changed and can now flip forward. There is no longer seat belt hardware on the lap belt anchor side for 2C (will make some car seats easier to install without this extra hardware).
While 2C has a shoulder belt and is wide enough for many car seats, it is not suitable for kids in backless boosters or adults as it has no head restraint.
The spacing between the innermost lower anchors is 15.8 inches – see here for more about this type of “center LATCH.”
