Car Seats in a 2020 Hyundai Palisade or Kia Telluride

Pros

Cons

  • No Seat Belt Pretensioners in any rear seat (only for driver & front passenger)
  • 3rd row center seat is unusable (only 6 inches “wide”)
  • Trunk space is minimal when 3rd row is in use
  • 2nd Row is compromised by overlap between driver & center seat – making this vehicle ill-suited for 3-across
  • 3rd row is not suitable for younger kids because there’s not enough room to fit most rear-facing seats and forward-facing seats are too deep to fit on the shallow 3rd row seat
  • Access to 3rd row with car seats in 2nd row is exceptionally challenging

The Palisade and Telluride are large SUVs that earn excellent safety ratings and are and have superior crash prevention technology – however, they are not an ideal option for families looking to fit more than 2 kids in car seats in the back.
