The Maxima was not made for 2015. It was redesigned for 2016 and it was a good redesign in that the center became a much more hospitable place for car seats & adults. Because of the low roof line, only shorter adults will be able to sit in 2C – as at 5’1″ my hair touched the roof when I sat in 2C. There is a good head restraint in 2C now.
While there is seat belt overlap between 2D/2C, there are flexible buckles for all 3 seats and a relatively wide center seat which should make it possible to get 2 side-by-side or 3-across in this back seat with the right combination of narrow car seats.
