The Ioniq is new for 2017. The back seat is the same in all models of the Ioniq. In 2017 it was offered as an all electric vehicle, or a gas-electric hybrid. For 2018 it is now offered as a plug-in hybrid as well. As Hyundai says “One car. 3 options.”
