Honda Fit

2015-2018 Honda Fit

The Fit was not made for 2014, and redesigned for 2015. The head restraints were changed – and now protrude more (but remain removable). 2C’s seat belt used to come from the driver’s side and buckle on the passenger side – now it comes from the passenger side and buckles on the driver’s side.

The shoulder belt for 2C continues to come from the roof (yes this is safe) – see here for how to use, connect and disconnect this shoulder belt.

The seat belt buckles are on a fairly long piece of seat belt webbing – you may find the need to twist the buckle stalk (up to 3 full revolutions) to shorten it in order to get some car seats installed tightly – as shown here.

2009-2013 Honda Fit

The head restraints were changed for 2009, otherwise the back seat is nearly identical to the earlier models.

2007-2008 Honda Fit

The Fit is rather well set up for a smaller car – it has shoulder belts & head restraints for all 3 positions and a relatively deep back seat (for a small vehicle).

The shoulder belt for 2C comes from the roof (yes this is safe) – see here for how to use, connect and disconnect this shoulder belt.

The seat belt buckles are on a fairly long piece of seat belt webbing – you may find the need to twist the buckle stalk (up to 3 full revolutions) to shorten it in order to get some car seats installed tightly – as shown here.

RECALL: There is a recall for 2007-2008 where the seatback frame needs to be replaced because the top of the outer lower anchor for 2D and the seat back frame are too close together and it is not possible to connect a car seat to this lower anchor.
