For 2008-2017, the A5 was only available as a coupe or a convertible… highly unfriendly vehicles for kids in the back. 2018 was the first year for the A5 Sportback which has a back seat that seems nearly identical to that of the A4/S4 sedans and A4 Allroad wagon. Like many of the other Audi back seats, the A5 sportback has a center that is mostly useless for car seats/boosters because it is very narrow and flanked by rigid buckles in 2D & 2P.
