The Enclave and Traverse were redesigned for 2018. While the Traverse is available as a 7 or 8 seater, the Enclave is only available as a 7 seater – with 2 captain’s seats in the 2nd row and a 3-person bench in the 3rd row (there is no option for 3 seats in the 2nd row anymore).
This redesign brings some good changes:
There are now tether anchors in all 5 seating positions (in previous models, 3D and 3P did not have tether anchors).
There are now good head restraints for the 3D & 3P (in previous models they were too short to protect adults from whiplash).
There is now a “car seat safe tilt” feature for 3rd row access – but it is only available on 2P (not 2D).
There is still much room for improvement…
There is no head restraint at all for 3C.
There are no lower anchors anywhere in the 3rd row.
