The Journey has a 5th lower anchor in the 2nd row – which theoretically allows a car seat to be installed in 2C with LATCH (but not when a car seat is in 2P)… but the reality can be quite different.
Below is an image from the owner’s manual, showing that there are 5 lower anchors (A through E). A and B are a pair to install a car seat in 2P, B and C are a pair to install a car seat in 2C, and D and E are a pair to install a car seat in 2D. B can NEVER be used by more than one car seat at a time.
Note: The 2009-2010 Journey does not have a head restraint in 2C – since 2011 there is a head restraint for 2C. Otherwise the back seats are identical in all model years.
